Travel Between Nong Khai To Sukhothai?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I want to get from Nong Khai to Sukhothai using public transport. Does anyone know if there is a direct bus or train without having to go via Khon Kaen? Also does anyone know of a good, cheap (under 500) place to stay in Sukhothai?

Thanks

Did it a few years ago, via Loei. Not so direct, but it was a nice trip.

Nongkai-Loei-pitsanulok-Sukhothai

of course no train at all to Sukh, and a far detour via Ayuttaya needed, too far, to long time, too bad.

BUS: only 1 change in Udorn needed. Bus NK-ud ev. 30 mins or so, then a daytime and 2 nighttime buses Udorn to Chiangmai, all via Phitsanuloke, not all 3 via Sukhothtai then, so ask. You may need to find the other busstation in Udorn aas there are 2 and variously used.

The first bus station on the Nong Khai road has Chiang Mai, Phitsanulok buses. About 3 kms past the new Lotus on the other side, coming from Nong Khai.
