February 28, 200719 yr Hi, Just curious if anyone knows of a store to get generally good prices on things like bags or balls, rather than wasitng money at Emporium or Central or other high priced retail outlet? My poor bag has seen its better days and I want to get a new one, but have no urge to overspend as I am getting a completly new set, all kitted out, sometime this summer in the states. I did see a bag at Emporium for 2,900 baht but thought I would check before spending any cash there. Thanks, Dr. B
February 28, 200719 yr Expect to see the same price for new items to be the same everywhere. I believe they just hold them for sale and collect commission. Try looking at the FBT building for a big selection.

March 2, 200719 yr FBT dont really do golf stuff i thought. they have good bargains in almost all other sports gear. they have a 7 stry building on Ramkanghaeng, lat phrao. soi number i forget sorry. also a shop near Chula uni. among all the other sports shops. Thaniya Plaza is ok too, prices can be bargained a bit and so many shops with everything. was told once of another area i have never found near chinatown.
March 4, 200719 yr Hard to beat Thaniya Plaza. It is a bit of a problem as it is a bunch of small shops and you have to spend a good bit of time walking around. Knowledge of the sales help varies a lot. If someone knows a better place, please post it. TH
March 4, 200719 yr Best place to buy bags and balls are the little shops you see on the way out to the courses. The ones with balls in plastic bags hanging up out the front. Good quality bags are less than 3000 baht. Balls: Half reasonable quality s/hand 8 in a bag. 100 baht per bag or 3 bags for 250. Good brand new balls from 100 baht upwards. Also good for umbrellas and gloves.
March 5, 200719 yr Author Thanks for the responses. Actually got one at Fashion Island this weekend. They are having a big golf promotion and I got something for 900 baht. Of course, if you don't live close to there, then probably not worth it.
