Driver slams sedan into bedroom of house killing baby and injuring others

A couple’s one year old son died and three family members were injured after a car slammed into the bedroom on the lower floor in the main city district of Pathum Thani early Saturday. The incident happened in Tambon Ban Mai around 2.30am. Pathum Thani is the province just north of Bangkok.

 

The family, along with relatives upstairs, were all asleep when the incident happened.

 

A locally registered Honda sedan had ploughed into the bedroom on the lower floor. The 46 and 38 year old parents, and their 3 year old daughter, sustained bruises and were taken to the local hospital.

The worst if of course the death of their one year old and the other family members injuries. But in addition to that horrible tragedy, their house i ruined. Any insurances covering for that? Could turn into an economic tragedy too.

And no reg plate..makes me wonder..

Must have been a huge shock to the family at the time & then discovering your baby is dead is simply horrific.

I think I would have made sure the driver was dead before emergency teams arrived !!

Driver not named in the article suggests police withheld name from press release nor any other identifying information other than age. No photos of him trapped in the vehicle either. This suggests he or family may work in the police or civil service or have some connections like that and his identity is being protected by the police as a deal is formulated.

There is no safe place to sleep left that a Thai driver wont run you down in this asylum  ????

but the accompanying picture shows a car bereft of any registration plate (that includes province of registry), I consider your opinion that some sanitizing has been carried out to be quite apropos.

It was stated on television but as it was channel 3 it probably was misreported
