The Internatonal transfer problems with TW are not down to the actual transfer system, it's because TW chooses to use three different Thai partner banks.

Just did my 4th transfer UK to transferwise to BKB account, arrived marked FTT same as the others.

If it came marked as anything different, I'd just transfer more money and hope 2nd time lucky.

I'm only doing 'just in case', I normally get non-os, because I can't stand the extension nonsense.

Been using transferwise for about a year...easy to setup...dependable...fast...

  • You can't use TransferWise to send money from Thailand to the USA.   You could use DEE Money to transfer from Thailand to the USA

Then I got my daughter to monitor her phone (because her address and phone is what Lloyds have on record for me), set up the new account on internet banking, gave daughter the code to give them and job done!

Why don't you use your own phone, my 3 SIM from the UK seems to get the OTPs in Thailand, no charge, no need to top-up. Been using the 3 SIM since 2016 on the original 10 quid top-up ..... still got 9.77 credit (never expires) left.
