Fire damages five rented houses in Hat Yai

A row of five connected rented houses in Songkhla's Hat Yai district were damaged by a fire early on Saturday, police said.

 

Hat Yai Municipality firefighters were alerted to the fire on Soi Ratburana at 2am.

 

Firefighters took almost an hour to extinguish which consumed the upper wooden floors of the five houses. The fire also damaged the lower concrete floors.

 

There were no injuries among the 10 tenants manage to run outside shortly after the fire started.

 

Police have yet to determine the cause of the fire.
