Hun Sen mulls death penalty for child rapists

Prime Minister Hun Sen yesterday mulled capital punishment for those found guilty of sexual violence against children. While meeting with victims of sexual violence in Phnom Penh’s Dangkor district yesterday, Mr Hun Sen said he wants to “crack down on the beasts” preying on vulnerable children in the Kingdom.

 

“I want an initiative to have the constitution amended to allow for the death sentence for anyone who rapes underage children, such as a father raping his children, a grandfather raping his grandchildren, or an uncle raping his nieces,” he said.

Cambodia abolished the death penalty in 1989 and in order for an amendment to the constitution to be made, a draft law would have to be introduced to the National Assembly before being sanctioned by King Norodom Sihamoni. However, Mr Hun Sen said he would first hold a referendum in order to seek approval from citizens, noting that child rapists cannot be forgiven.

at least he has got it partially right this time. it is not stranger danger it is family members who do this.

but didn't he say before that he wanted to close down afesip and other ngo's 'cos they follow foreigners?

personally i would like to tie them all to barges and float them down the river as in former times.

if a legal 18 yo doesnt suit your fantasy for younger and you feel u must prey on children you are a child predator molester and deserve everything you get
