DFT inspects factories producing goods to be exported to US

 

   

BANGKOK, 18th March 2019 (NNT) - The Department of Foreign Trade (DFT) has rigorously inspected factories to prevent them from using false country of origin labels on products exported to the United States, particularly goods under the US trade countermeasures.

 

The DFT Director-General, Adul Chotinisakorn, said his department has inspected manufacturers of nail products that will be exported to the US. These manufacturers in Samut Prakan and Prachinburi provinces previously requested a certificate of origin to allow them to export goods to the US.

 

Following the inspections, the manufacturers have been found to produce products according to the rules of origin.

 

The inspections were also aimed at goods under the US trade countermeasures.
