Hi all. Some help please.

I'll soon be renovating my small workshop. I'd like some advice on the best lighting option. Floor area is about, 5m x 4m. Roof height is pretty high but can hang lights off chain. Workshop is primarily for woodworking. A few years back I would have just installed some fluros. But now there's so many options.

What's your suggestions ?

Thanks.....     Mal.

As you get older you need more light to work effectively. OK my workshop is bigger than yours however I currently have about 700 watts of LED lights and am about to add another 10 X 18W units. I have them on different switches, there will be about 7 by the time I finish.

I have

4 x 100 watt

4 x 50 watt

4 x 2 x 12 watt

and am about to install 10 x 18 watt units about 4 ~ 5 metres up

my ceiling hight goes from about 3.8 to about 5.9

That is why we have a 45~55 split on workshop living area. ????

with lights in a workshop it is virtually impossible to have too much, as long as you can switch them bit by bit. It's extremely easy to have too little.
