You still dont get it , May's plan was the only chance of achieving any kind of real Brexit. What we will end up with now is barely worthy of the name , nothing essentially will change.

I dont recall the exact wording , but it went something like :

Would you like to stay in the E.U.

Would you like to leave the E.U.

Leave or stay , it was a straight forward question , there  wasnt a half leave/half stay option

It didn't say "how" the Leave option would be implemented either.  It's like a divorce - Q: do you want to divorce your wife? A: I do.  Then comes all the argy-bargy about the division of the property, access rights to the kids and so on.  Anyone who didn't understand that there would be a divorce settlement is plain naive

Leaving the EU wasn't a fantasy as many remainers would like to have people believe. It was a simple leave or remain with David Cameron telling us constantly, what leave would mean. Leaving the SM, CU, ECJ.etc

 

Mays deal is not Brexit. The fantasy is that remainers actually believe that none of the above ever was said and cling onto the hope, that eventually people will have forgotten. Well they won't and haven't.

This about the UK leaving the E.U. , its not about a couple getting a divorce

We are still so unprepared for no deal brexit that it will be a disaster. Brexit will be tainted with it for years after . It will result in people wanting to reverse brexit and us rejoin with a worse deal. 

 

If you want a sustainable brexit you need to leave with a deal and a transition period .

We had our withdrawal date set as March 29 th and we could have walked away then with no deal . 

  Married couples live in the same house , UK and EU do not live in the same house , so the comparisons are completely different . 

   The UK and EU have no children , so, completely different again

But Tusk has made it clear the door is open on a longer extension, that would be dependent on the UK participating in the EU parliamentary elections and I doubt that would be for anything shorter than 15 months (June 30th 2020).

 

So now we have 6 options...

1. Agree to Mays deal and leave May 26.
2. Disorderly Brexit, no bill to extend, leave March 29 with no extension.
3. Disorderly Brexit, with bill to extend, leave April 12 with very short extension.
4. Extended extension for another Referendum leave June 30th 2020 at the earliest if at all.
5. Call a general election/confidence vote/no confidence vote, could be out by Friday if important legislation is not enacted or tied in until June 30th 2020.
6. Revoke Article 50 and remain.
