A late-night brawl involving Russian teenagers and famous Thai rappers on Pattaya's Walking Street left tourists alarmed over violence in the popular area.

In the early hours of 10th June, an incident captured by tourists' mobile phones showed four Russian youths, aged between 18 and 19, engaging in a fierce fight with a well-known Thai rapper group.

This took place amidst a crowd of onlookers on the bustling Walking Street in South Pattaya, leading to widespread online criticism.

Further investigation revealed the incident occurred around 12:44 a.m. on 9th June. Witnesses, including local street vendors, reported that the Russian teenagers previously caused a disturbance at a pharmacy, prompting the owner to escort them out.

They then refused to leave the front of a cannabis shop despite warnings, leading to a temporary police intervention.

The altercation reignited when the Russian group returned to the initial scene, instigating a conflict with the Thai rappers. Witnesses, including nightclub staff, noted the Russians appeared intoxicated, acting provocatively and making offensive gestures, which escalated tensions.

No official complaints have yet been filed with Pattaya City Police regarding the incident. The confrontation has sparked anxiety among tourists visiting the renowned nightlife hotspot due to the unexpected outbreak of violence in the area.

Obviously looking for trouble, so easy solution. Escort to hotel then airport. One incident can be anything, three means intent.

  • A blanket ban on Russian, Ukrainian, Albanian, Bulgarian, Czech, Polish and all other East European countries would swiftly solve these issues.

Well you can't expect much from a senile and corrupted force.

Well they are only teenagers.

So I think a better approach would be to put them in the Soi 9 cells for a couple of weeks with the local amphetamine addicted Ladyboys from the coconut bar to give them a really good seeing to before their trip back home,

Teaching them by a beating doesn't make anyone change but want to get revenge, and with teens that revenge comes in innocents .And putting them in a cell might also get others besides them hurt. Teenagers can still be taught restraint, and that doesn't come from force. Prisons show what happens to people who hurt others.

No, as most Americans already know everyone around them has relations from all other countries, besides those who are prejudiced.

Yes it is. They are Slavs.

"In broadest definition, there are 28 countries that constitute the region of Eastern Europe: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey (East Thrace), and Ukraine, all of which can be classified into any of the 6 categories below."

With the possible excception of Hungary and Slovenia all of these are problem nations.

Can we ban the Chinese and Indians too please  ... like the good old times :)😀.

I accept the point, the Brits also have their problem contingents, as do the Australians. However, if we curtail these nations then there will be nobody.

Particularly after the Indians and Chinese are banned.

And there is a difference between anti-social drunks and quasi murderous mafia criminals who wrestle with bears.

I wasn’t talking about a beating Fred.

I was talking about a couple of week of being spit roasted by a couple of experienced, drug addicted hardcore Ladyboys.

i would never condone violence.

Indeed, TAT have a lot to answer for with the mass saturation tourism now plaguing Thailand.

I can't get past the headline....Early morning rapper & Russian tourist.

I say they both fall into the category of both deserve summary execution.

I once had a friend form Armenia. We both went to an elite private international school. This Armenian kid was different. He was essentially a man at 14. We would be walking down the street, and he would want to bump into strangers on purpose just to provoke a fight. For no reason! Other than to prove his masculinity. He would dare you. This is the character of the East European. They are not like us. They are not like Brits, Americans, Germans...East Europeans culturally thrive on violence. The Weimaraner was bred to hunt bears. Chechens wrestle with bears. These are not normal people.
