The only thing this army ever assaults is the government it is sworn to protect. Hard to believe they need much of a budget for that.

Nearly every time a relatively lazy and intellectually soft mind encounters someone critical, the reply is "why don't you leave?" Lame at best. Please, let us at least try to express some creative juice here.

Makes sense, they want the critical party to leave so they can continue being intellectually lazy. Thinking gives you puat hua.

No, a moment of idiocy is being corrected - this is exactly democracies strongest point.

Regular elections are a an opportunity to correct the course the nation is on.
