JohnHauser
Dears, I might need to travel abroad for a month 5-6 weeks before my retirement Visa expires. Question: Is it possible to renew the Retirement Visa e.g. 7 weeks before it expires? Thanks a lot John
elviajero
No. 45 days is usually the earliest (only 30 days at some offices).

Peterw42
Is it a Visa issued in home country or an extension issued inside thailand ? If it is actually a visa, you cant renew it inside thailand, if it is an extension you are talking about , travel for a month then come back and do your extension before the 6 week expiry. Most offices will only do extension under/or one month before expiry. Edited March 30, 2019 by Peterw42
scubascuba3
I hear some agencies can arrange the extension earlier, for example they were cramming them in before the 1 Mar change

If you're travelling 5-6 weeks before and have an office like CW that allows 45 days you'll be ok. 7 weeks is just over, but 45 days is 6½ weeks so it's doable if you're well organised.
