Changing Atm/debit Card Pin Number For Us-issued Card

Featured Replies

I'm trying to change the PIN number associated with my debit/ATM card issued by a US-bank. Usually this can be done simply at any ATM in america...but when I tried using the PIN change function at a Bangkok Bank ATM, I received an error. ...does anyone know of an ATM in Thailand that is capable of changing my PIN?

I suspect you may have to have your bank change and mail new pin to your home of record for security reasons.

In general, even if you wanted to change a local bank atm card pin, you have to use atm's belonging to the same bank. Usually no different with your US bank issued cards. Myself I change my atm pins before I fly back over or just have a sibling stateside take care of it before mailing or carrying them over.
