Yesterday, I wasn't feeling 100% but I had to play the first half because we had no other options. Eventually, Kaka arrived at half-time and we could reshuffle the pack and I could rest on the touchline.

We only had 14 players yesterday the first 11 plus myself who was injured, Beat and Keith. With the game being so close, I couldn't really bring Keith on. He kept asking to come on but if I had brough him on, I'm sure it wouldn't have been a popular decision. At the end of the game he was very upset. I can understand his feelings so I tried to explain that I had to keep the best players on the pitch. In his own mindset he seems to think that he can play just as well as anybody else. But he can't.

So the question is what do we do with him? He is a nice guy and really enthusiastic but he just isn't good enough for our team. In fact he isn't even good enough for the vets team (jing jing).

I don't think it's fair to him to not play but on the other hand it's not fair to the rest of the team when he plays. Team morale just goes down when he enters the pitch.

The question is, do we keep inviting him along or should we just tell him not to come? I think the latter but I would like to know what the general opinion amongst the team is?

There are games where he can be on the pitch, I mean, last week we had the coach on the pitch :o ...

But Yesterday, no way, as we got 4-4 almost at the end of the game.

When you are not in the first 11, you know you may or may not be on the pitch.

The friendly game we occasionally play are there to give a chance to player to change this list.

Last Sunday we play well, and one of the reason was that we did not (could not) swap player every 5 minutes.

The Vets tournament is different, we are there to have fun, and there is plenty of game.

Everyone plays. Different league different rules.

Well, you cant expect to know which game we will be ahead like 3-0 and then let Keith play. Then you will have to ask him to come every game and tell him, if we are leading at least by 3 goals, you get to play. In this case Tytus has to talk to him and drop him.

It was the right decision not to make him play vs the French, it was a very close game indeed!!!

Yeah - that game was not a "keith-game".

I DO believe that Tytus from the start told Keith that he can come for training and at the league games "maybe" play - and now he takes for granted that he can play every time. So a simple refresher of that agreement should be done.

If he is not happy with that then there are plenty of teams struggling for players currently.

Cheers!

It seems that the fairest thing to do is to let him play in the vets, friendlies and futsal. But playing in the league games isn't possibly as he basically isn't good enough. When he comes along to the league games it should be just as a spectator and he should not be given a shirt. If he isn't happy with this arrangement then he is free to look for another team.

He refused to go call Kaka for me, perhaps he was affraid if Kaka came he wouldn't get to play!!! DUH!!!!!!!!!!!

If I recall correctly, after the friendly at the Thai-Japanese stadium, it was agreed by all that Keith should not come and play against the French. Also having reread the match build up on another thread, there was no mention of Keith playing. So why was he there? Is he just inviting himself along? With him turning up thinking that he's getting a game, created an awkward situation for Ben and myself to deal with.

yeah darn right m8!!! He invites himself...then hopes you guys pitty him and make him play. I would understand if it was a kid in his 20's..eager to play..but I remain speechless. Let Tytus...do the job.

Before he decided to join us i made it clear that we have younger players that could perform when in need. So i told him that i couldnt promise him any match during the league match . I also told him that its best for him to be with our Veteran team and join our trainning session. But he keep on saying his better that some of our younger player.

I will have a chat with him again and make it clear that he will only be playing for the Vets and during weekday match .

LEt him play during the weekday friendly till he collapes but we wont take any responsibility if he really collapes of heart attack or something else.

Cheers

Paul was 52 which is 5 years younger than Keith. The difference with Paul was that he was physically strong. He had presence and could intimidate the opposition. He also had good knowledge of the game and had played the game as a youngster.

I'll tell you what. This latest viagra drug must have some crazy hallucinogenic side effects on papa. Seriously, he thinks he's a better player than Emilio and Keita. :D :D What next?? He'll probably think that's he's more attractive to the female race than our very own super-stud Firefan. :o

That must have been it.....the viagra! Geeeeez

Isn't Papa a nice nick name for Keith? He could be Papa for some of us, or even Granpa for the younger dudes!

Hey Tytus, I think we should collect urine samples from all the players after the games. You can hold the cup for me....lol.

I cant believe Keith is complaining! Fact is he's rubbish.

At the Thai-Jap stadium I was rubbish but still miles better than him! I certainly wouldnt expect to play and I dont see why he should. Turn up and if you get the chance to play that's great. And if you don't then you get to watch some quality ( :o ) football, chill out and then go for beers. For me this team is about the social aspect - if you need me and I'm available I'd love to play but to be honest it's more about having some good friends there!

Dont know what the problem is Mr Keith! Chill!
