Police in Bangkok have named seven suspects charged with defaming the election commission by sharing fake news regarding committee changes via Facebook.

Announcing the news at Thung Song Hong police station in Bangkok was Maj-Gen Achanon Kraithong of immigration in his capacity as a member of the tech police.

The suspects shared a story that reached 800,000 people.

They face 2 years in jail and/or a fine of 200,000 baht.

Three have responded to the charges - one is a seamstress, one is an employee and another is a student.

Four remaining suspects are due to meet the police on the 11th of April. These include senior and well known academic Sirot Khlanphaiboon and election activist Natthatha "Bow" Mahathana.

I think they did a pretty good job themselves, with their actions, without throwing the blame on others.

They may be wise to stop shining a light on what is either their incompetence or flat out corrupt activities.

Poor little darlings.

The nasty man said something rude about you.

Let's all cry to mummy and she'll get the lawyers out.

Pathetic. This whole defamation thing is used by over sensitive people when they get caught out .
