Try to keep face smooth as any hair is inevitably itchy, especially in this muggy heat. Never had a beard but once just to see what it would be like, although did have a mustache for many years. My girlfriend likes it smooth so I keep it that way anyway. To each their own. Some choose a beard or facial hair to hide a weak chin, and some because it improves their appearance anyway. The five o' clock shadow seems to be popular with some women, the Jason Statham look, and some women hate it. Many beards have come a long way in shape and style, I'm thinking more for the man than the women, but again, everyone's different. You'll attract certain women with facial hair and detract from others. If you shave clean, you'll know which ones like it even if they didn't when you had facial hair. It doesn't matter how hot it gets as many in extreme climates have them, and for their own reasons.
