Hello all, I got married to my Thai g/f in Jan last year & I've known her now for 5 years. Later this year I want to go & live in Thailand with her but I don't want the headache of leaving the country after 30 days. Can anyone advise me if there is a visa I can get & where I would get it from. I'm planning on buying a business for my wife to run & I'm gonna do the TEFL course on the net so that I can teach English out there. If any of you people out there can assist me it would be much appreciated. I'm living in the UK at the moment.

Get a Multiple entry non Imm O type visa from a Thai consulate in UK, which will give you 15 months in Thailand doing visa runs every 90 days. When the business shows an income of B40,000 per month (or a combined income from the business and investment overseas) for a 3 month period you can apply at any immigration office in Thailand to extend your visa for a year so you no longer need to do visa runs.

There has been plenty of discussion on this subject in this forum, do a search and you will find all the information you need. As for teaching english, look at the teaching forum, you may find you need more than just a TEFL course.
