The Vic commentators will never change. I can't stand listening to Brereton screaming for frees for whichever Victorian team is playing an interstate side. (And dismissing obvious kicks the other way with comments like "soft" or "wasn't there".)

Lockett Medal, I like it, makes sense.  The AFL goals record holder, not a regional competition person.

But there is this;

I picked the Dockers and that got me to six.

I know I picked the Dockers..  And won money on it.  It would have got me 7 correct for the round.

But my tips show I picked the dogs.  There is a stuff up somewhere.

yeah I was sure I picked the Dockers, Essendon and West Coast..definitely a stuff up

As commissioner...i might need to call Totals for the year null and void

Haha!!!  That's even more desperate than banning someone for suspected double tips.

Anyone know how a retiring player serves out a suspension from their last game? Sauce Merrett was given 3 matches for his Danny Frawley on Savage, 2 if he takes an early plea.

Old memory failing,it was Darryl he whacked.:P

Yeah Lynchy got 10 weeks and a $10k fine wasn't it? Sauce only copped the imaginary suspension... Thought he was a bit stiff to get offered 3 down to 2 though :P

I hope he fights it, just for shits and giggles

Justin Leppitsch was never given a fair chance coaching the Brisbane Lions

Posted about 4 hours ago

We may never know if Justin Leppitsch can or cannot coach.

Whatever his inadequacies, they were grossly outweighed by those of the environment in which he tried to ply his skills.

More at:

Pretty tough, but he really had run out of chances. I wonder who will be next?

How different things might have been if the AFL hadn't set up a second team in SE Queensland. The code's pretty sick here right now.

I think its more than the second team up there...

Brissie has been poorly managed for years now and that has flowed through the entire club.  Losing those top 5 recruits for nothing and the infighting and court challenges at board level...

You just dont see that at well run clubs.

Leppitsch had his shot...but sometimes it doesn't happen....PLenty of other coaches who will take it on

.....the warden invited me to stay for lunch. Cooked by inmates it was probably the worst slop I've ever had to consume, and  I still had to pretend to be gracious to my host.

I'm sure the warden was satisfied that the inmates hadn't added any human bodily fluids into the recipe.

In my days of wearing a blue uniform with badges on the shoulders, we stuck to the following rule when buying a take-away lunch,

'Never Order Food That You Can't See Being Made In Front Of Your Eyes.'

I remember being worried about exactly that, at the time.  Bunbury Prison was where they put most of the sex offenders.  I still don't know how you burn mash potato!

In the job I had, It was necessary to remember in which restaurants you've been working, and avoid them on social outings. Favourite places were sometimes bypassed so as not to lose them for future outings.

GWS and Lachie Whitfield quickly spiralling out of control..distraction for finals

The long-standing AFL career and reputation of Graeme Allan hangs in the balance amid allegations that the former Giants football boss deleted text messages concerning an attempt to protect the club's former No.1 draft pick Lachie Whitfield from drug-testers.

Allan, Whitfield and the club's then welfare manager Craig Lambert face bans of between two and four years should the  evidence against them be proven.

The AFL, which has known about the allegations for almost 15 months, will now hand details of its lengthy investigation to the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority.

The text messages allegedly deleted by Allan would have been part of evidence in the case that  Whitfield's former girlfriend contacted the club and later submitted evidence that the player was helped by club officials following drug concerns. Lambert is also alleged to have deleted text messages.

Whitfield's then girlfriend was initially motivated by concerns for his health and welfare. Whitfield, who is expected to line up for Greater Western Sydney in their historic first final at ANZ Stadium on September 10, is alleged to have turned to the two club officials amid concerns that he risked being found guilty of testing positive for a performance-enhancing substance after taking illicit drugs.

Allan, as revealed on Monday by Fairfax Media, organised for the player to spend a short period of time at the home of Lambert and away from the club in May 2015. The player did not alert the relevant anti-doping authorities and was reportedly not advised to do so.

The AFL's integrity unit has significantly widened its investigation beyond the telephone evidence submitted by Whitfield's former girlfriend.

Prisons can be depressing places Alex.

My work took me inside nearly every prison in Western Australia, the exceptions being a couple of bush "aboriginal" prisons. Probably the most uncomfortable experiences for me were inside Bandyup  women's prison. Any unknown men going inside were subject to intense scrutiny from some of the nastiest woman prisoners in the State, including infamous serial killers.

Shortly after the huge Fremantle Jail riot in 1988, I had to interview one of the ringleaders of the riot. He was escorted to the room by 5 or 6 officers, put into the room with me and the door locked. When he realised I wasn't part of the prison establishment, the tension dropped off him dramatically and he ended up in tears as he told his life story. He was still deported when eventually released.

Probably my worst prison experience was in Bunbury where the warden invited me to stay for lunch. Cooked by inmates it was probably the worst slop I've ever had to consume, and  I still had to pretend to be gracious to my host.

Well i only spend a day inside the worst section think it was called H in those days, the building had been built in the 1800"s very very depressing, i did get a couple of threats like....like "I'm going to blow you up" stuff like that, i feel for you croc no way could i handle going back again you must have had a cast iron stomach as i would have died by 30 with stomach cancer for sure.

Former girlfriend.??
Fuxxxx dumb bitch

Ms. Lambert selflessly gave up her time and space to the GWS team

Whitfield has said he was suffering from a migraine and it was common for players to stay at Lambert's house rather than stay alone.
