Need of high risk pregnancy specialist

Hello all, need your advice in this matter.

My girlfriend from Thailand got pregnant and I'm concerned and want her to have good medical care during and after the pregnancy.

Specially because of her present and past medical history. She has a pituitary tumor that many years ago caused her Cushing's syndrome but the latter was treated, don't know if the tumor can present any risk during the pregnancy.

Also, she has endometriosis.

The above mentioned things were according to a friend things that might require attention and she said it would.be best to have a high risk pregnancy specialist so thus, my question:

Do any of you know of any recommended high risk specialists either around Bangkok, Pattaya or Chiang Mai?

Would be very much appreciated for all helpful information!

Best regards

I'd get her into one of the Top Hospitals (i.e. Bumrungrad), they will be able to offer the best possible advice.

Also, from personal experience Dr. Somjate from Jetanin and Bumrungrad is an excellent Dr. who will be able to guide you in the best direction.

Jatanin is a fertility clinic, not relevant to OP's issue as the woman is already pregnant.

Endometriosis tends to make it difficult to conceive and that is its main effect as regards pregnancy. There is no special monitoring or special tests required during pregnancy once the woman has conceived.

I would frankly recommend she get antenatal care at the government hospital  for free where she is registered as I do not think there is much of anything to be gained by going private other than unnecessary expense.

re the pituitary tumor, I cannot say as it depends on whether it has been completely removed. An OB-Gyn will nto know much in this regard, she should follow up with the endocrinologist who previously treated her.

If nonetheless you want to have her go to a private Ob-Gyn specializing in high risk, there are literally dozens of them in Bangkok, a number on CM but not much in Pattaya - in the latter location the best would be in either the government hospital in Chonburi or the Red Cross Hospital in Sri Racha.

In Bangko I would suggest Assoc.Prof.Dr. Boonchai Uerpairojkit at Chulalongkorn Hospital. He can also be seen at Bumrungrad but very, very  expensive there.
