Now how did he get there? "Drunk" man goes for a spin on unfinished Bang Pa-In - Korat road

Pictures on the Sanook site showed the aftermath of an accident when a 61 year old man drove his Toyota Hilux pick-up on the Bang Pa-In - Korat elevated road that is still under construction. 

 

They said that he had come off an elevated section.

Citing the Mitraphap Sanjorn Thailand site on Facebook they reported that two passengers were in the vehicle.

 

One suffered an injury to the left arm. They were both taken to Si Khiw Hoapital after the incident in Ban Kut Noi of Si Khiw, Nakorn Ratchasima.

Blind drunk, or just blind? Perhaps sleeping behind the wheel?

i don't believe he was drunk.  just a normal decision making process in Thailand.

He wanted to promote his pickup as an all terrain vehicle.

He may have been drunk but he was sober enough to realise he can do whatever he wants on the roads of Thailand and get away with it.

Never mind eh , better there than with others on finished roads.

Wonder what or who he's gonna blaim? It obviously wasn't his fault (looking at the pictures).

no he was probably sober and trying his thai driving skills out with the usual outcome

brakes failed

Toyota Hilux, the famous Top Gear episode comes to mind. ????

Sad thing is,  we all know this is normal behavior here.

Thats a first, I'll have an accident regardless if the road is not finished !

WOW, I know where that’s at I live in Korat and normally nothing ever happens up here you usually don’t see stuff in the news happening in Korat, it’s normally pretty peaceful up here.  Last time I ever remember anything happening up here was a police shooting near the mall if I recall right about two years ago.  I don’t recall the story but if I remember right someone attempted to run over a cop and the cop I believe fired his weapon but I don’t quite remember the story it was back in 2016 I think so I could be wrong about the incident but that sounds right from what I recall.  Nothing ever happens up here but that doesn’t mean you should let your guard down either and be totally complacent you can’t even be that way in the United States.  Actually the streets of the United States are more dangerous than anywhere in Thailand these days and actually they have been for a while now.  

 

Anyway I drove by that road a few weeks ago and it wasn’t even paved yet last time I was by there.
