Re Entry Don Muang

Featured Replies

I believe the Re Entry permit office behind Immigration counters at DM airport is  a 24 hour operation. I have a flight leaving at 06.15 and hope to clear Immigration at about 05.30.

Has anyone ever had a problem at this early hour with staff being away or the office "closed"?

I have used it twice before at about 9 - 10 am with no problems at all. I'm just worried that there mightn't be anyone manning the office in the wee smal hours!!

Anyone with info about getting a REP before 06.00?

Thanks.

What about your local Imm' office?? Assuming it's close to you and time isn't a problem

Sorry can't help with DMK.

Hope someone can.

It should be 24 hour, and if there's nobody there they should call someone to take care of you but, this being Thailand, that's about the extent of any assurance you're likely to get. Personally, I'd say you'll be OK, they'll sort you out with a re-entry permit one way or another even if Terdsak is aslumber and cannot be woken. I think you're right to give it plenty of time though. Prepare your docs before arriving.

A friend did that in the early morning hours of April at 5.20 am this year and got his Re-Entry permit without a problem. As already mentioned, they might have to wake up a sleeping officer, that's the worst case scenario.

As you know, having done it before, it is done at the same office that handles overstays. It is pretty much inconceivable that the office would be unmanned at any time when international flights will be departing. You will be fine. That said, I would try to allow a bit more time, just in case you have one inefficient official trying to deal with a queue. For a 6:15 flight, try to clear immigration by 5:00 am. Usually, the re-entry permit will only take 15-20 minutes but you never know.

Great!! Thanks everyone.

I thought that if I had a problem, the overstay office may be able to help. I don't think it would ever close...........too much loot to turn away!!!????
