Cancelling visa and work permit

How long does it take for a school to cancel a work permit and a non b visa

For a work permit less than one day.

If you have a 90 day entry from a non-b visa it does not need to be canceled.

If you have a extension of stay based upon teaching issued by immigration you will have to go immigration yourself to have it canceled. You would need a termination letter from the school  to do it.

What happens these days if you don't cancel the visa?

A few years ago, I never cancelled it and they were none the wiser. Maybe these days the DoE contact immigration?

Immigration normally do not cancel visas. They will cancel an extension of stay they issued.

People have had problems applying for a new extension due to not formally canceling the extension before leaving the country. Some have even been fined for not doing it.

The slight problem i had,  I had to go to din dang police station and pay 1500 baht for not canceling the WP.

Some purple seem to think their school can cancel their visa, which they can't.
