Piyapong, 35, and his wife Phiraphan, 40, were apprehended on a Pattaya court warrant issued in November 2011. They were arrested at a clinic in the Klong Luang area of Pathum Thani north of Bangkok. They were charged with murder after a man called Noppadon came to see Phiraphan on November 18th, 2011 to get 300 baht back that she owed him. The incident happened at an apartment in Nong Prue. Piyapong told the CSD that he acted alone. Phiraphan has denied involvement.
