Annual retirement renewal with expiring passport

Featured Replies

.... My renewal date is 14/3/20 and my passport expires on 15/1/21
so get a new passport in between now and 14th of march

You apply for  a new passport, once u have it, go to immigration and ur Original entry stamp which your current extension is based on will be transferred over, PLUS ur current extension placed in ur new passport...  all for free
If Phuket go to room 103 for transfer of stamps, be prepared for Mr Grumpy who snaps "you don't need ticket, no charge"

MY A O visa is expiring, I need 30 days extension to pack and sell my CAR. NO RENEWAL LEAVING Thailand. Thanks.....

The validity period of your non-immigrant visa category O-A (O-A visa, for short) for entry into Thailand cannot be extended.

The permission to stay you received when you entered with your O-A visa can be extended in accordance with the Police Order 548/2562 and the Immigration Bureau Order 300/2562 for a period up to one year for the reason of retirement, if you qualify, or for any other reason for which you may qualify in accordance with Police Order 327/2557 (2014) and Immigration Bureau order 138/2557 (2014).

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

There is no extension you can apply for other than one year.

You can apply for one, pay the 1900 baht fee and granted 7 days to leave the country.

Or you could do a border hop for a 30 day visa exempt entry if you qualify for one. The 30 days can then be extended for 30 days at immigration if you needed more time.
