Hi All

Being a mere indecisive man, I am in a quandry do I or do I not iron my combat trousers!!!

Somehow I can't see a SAS soldier taking a travel iron with him when he is on a mission behind enemy lines! but who knows one has standards to maintain!

Any opinions appreciated.

:o You been drinking tonight?

Personally, I never iron, its against my religion :D

Ha ha! Unless they look really awful without ironing, leave them. Better slightly crumpled than sharp new creases in them! :o

Yes, wash them regularly as well. If you don't have the time or patience to iron put them in the dryer and hang them up after while they are still warm.

Of course, you can always pay 20 baht for someone else to take care of them for you.

Men in clean clothes are sexy! (IMHO)

After 12 years in the military I feel fully confident in my ability to give you a decisive answer.

You do NOT iron nice creases into your combat trousers while you are deployed in an operational theatre. Otherwise you do.

I would refer back to the rambo movies or anything in Arnold Swarzennegers earlier military based roles to make that descision. Was rambo's combats well pressed, I don't recall them being all scrunched up & creased as I am sure I would have noticed but then again, where in the jungle would you get a power socket to give them a good press !!! Ohhh the stresses of modern life :o

Personally I would part iron them, just a rough run over with the iron but not pressing neat creases to get the major crinkles out but not to look too perfect.

Any military person, never mind man, in my fam would never ask that question. Winklette.

However, I have had such a variety of answers I think anything is acceptable as long as they are clean!

Have a good day.. Take care! I'm just off on my latest mission to secure the release of a few crates of Chang!!
