May 21, 20197 yr Hi all, This is a very niche question, but if anyone has any information I would be very grateful. My partner is a Filipina and is currently in the Philippines with her 15 year old son. She is divorced but does not have sole custody of the child. To get a tourist visa for her son in the Philippines (she has gotten tourist visas on her own from the Philippines without issue), will she need any special paperwork, like: 1. Sole custody papers 2. Letter of consent from the father 3. Copy of the father's passport We have seen that this is sometimes the case but can't get any definitive information. It wouldn't normally be an issue, but the father is being rather uncooperative...It's not that he doesn't want them to be in Thailand, he just can't be bothered to help. Let me know if anyone has any information. It's much appreciated. Thanks, Dave
May 22, 20197 yr The embassy website does not mention any requirement for a minor child other than their birth certificate and the parents birth certificate. See: https://www.thaiembassymnl.ph/images/ThaiVisaRequirementsAndProcedure.pdf I think your partner should contact the embassy to get a confirmation of what is needed. https://www.thaiembassymnl.ph/en/home/royal-thai-embassy-manila/contact
May 25, 20197 yr Author Thank you. We were having some trouble contacting the embassy - thus our need to post here - but we finally got through. It looks like we won't need any of the above mentioned documents. Thanks for your help!
