Denied Ed Visa Back to Tourist ?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone! Can someone please enlighten me?

So I'm running out of tourist visa and I have just changed my job

I am aware that the non-B visa takes time to process, so my employer offered to give me an Ed Visa first since they own a Thai language school, while they process my non-b

I have multiple stamps of tourist visa and an Ed Visa as well which I canceled after the first three months

Worst case scenario, I will be denied at the consulate while getting an Ed visa

Question is, Is it possible for me to apply for a tourist visa back to Thailand at the same consulate where I got denied?

If your application for a non-ed visa was not accepted you could then apply for a tourist visa.

When was your previous non-ed visa issued?

Just this January 2019, I canceled it last April

How many days will they give me for the tourist visa then?

Vientiane would not issue another one. You cannot get more than one a year.

You would get a 60 day entry from a tourist visa.

I am planning to get it in Vietnam, do you think they will do the same as Vientiane?

So it's a guarantee that I could still come back to Thailand, either in an Ed Visa or Tourist Visa, am I right?

Vientiane has the one visa per year on their list of requirements. I have seen it mentioned on the consulate or embassy in Vietnam websites.

You should no have a problem entering with a tourist visa.
