March 10, 200719 yr Hi Guy's Does anybody have any experience of owning these breeds in Thailand as I am thinking of buying 2 kittens. I am use to having Siamese, but fancy a change and I like the look of these Bengals. I would appreciate some advice: Are they good to have around children (as I have two small kids)? Temprement? Price for a registered pedigree? (Siam Bengal have quoted 45000BHT) Any breeders around the BKK / Chon Buri area? Thanks in advance peeps.
March 11, 200719 yr I googled Bengal Cat because I wasn't sure what you were talking about. Absolutely lovely! The International Bengal Cat Society, which is where the photo came from, may be able to answer some of your questions regarding breed behavior. They also list two breeders here in Thailand! Thailand Breeders
March 11, 200719 yr Good for you for researching prior to purchase. I thought that they were a bit fierce because they had tiger genes (maybe that was a dream), along the same lines as those wolf dog hybrids. I am beginning to sound like a Homer Simpson dream so I'll stop now. They are certainly gorgeous looking creatures.
March 11, 200719 yr There is a reptile shop in JJ market, the owner has two of these, beautiful cats!
March 11, 200719 yr Author Thanks for your input guy's I've contacted the two breeders based in BKK, all kittens are registered and new litters are due soon. When I visit them I will post more pics. Family pet : 30-45000BHT Show cat: 50-650000 Breeding male / female 70-80000 Ace
April 1, 200719 yr I was down JJ market today and picked up the number for the guy in JJ market that has them. He's just bred a litter of four, think he's going to sell them at about 50 K each, all pedigreed and wouldn't shock me if he got the adults from the suppliers you have already mentioned. I'll pm you the phone number of the guy. I'd love one but the gf hates cats, and yeah there's that whole 50 K for a cat thing.
