Yesterday afternoon my Boxer started to barking at something in our garden.

When I went out to see what's going on I saw him barking at this animal.

Can someone tell me what animal it is:

It was a bit more than 20cm long.

It's hard to be sure, but looks like a "Garden fence lizard" or Ginka. They change their colour, so can look really different at times. They're pretty common. I've seen one hold 3 dogs at bay.

Yes, think your right, and they are totally harmless, they just put up a good show.

My boxer kills these lizards every chance he gets! Poor things.
