I also trust them for the bare facts, but they are mainstream, part of the neoliberal order, that has not only ruled the economy and the body politic, but also our minds and attitudes. The individual journalists might not be aware of it, but their "regimes of perception and thought" (Foucault) will frame their focus and reporting, it will determine what they report, what they leave out (or not even notice in the first place), how they represent it, always more or less in line with the predominant order. CNN and BBC, not even MSNBC, are truly left wing. As part of the hypercapitalism, we all live in and suffer from, they are right wing and inherently reactionary.
