What Are The Options For A Graduated Student To Extend Her Visa?

Featured Replies

I lived in Bangkok Thailand for over 10 years now and am currently residing in Bangkok with a NON-IMMIGRATION VISA (i study in Bangkok so I'm using proof of education from the school to extend my stay each year). Now that I'm FINISHED with school and my Visa expires in a few weeks.. WHAT ARE THE OPTIONS FOR EXTENDING MY VISA? I can no longer use education since I don't study anymore... but I have to stay here for a few more months. For example, my visa expires on April 1st 2007 but I have to stay in Bangkok until June 1st 2007 (to attend to some family issues,etc)... what are the options I have? Please give me ideas or knowledge about this because I am lost as to what I can do.. LEGALLY OF COURSE! I am a student so I don't really know much about the rules and regulations regarding Visas ...ANY help/recommendations/input would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

Get on a cheap flight to Penang/KL/Singapore and obtain a tourist visa. Second choice, if you are of a nationality that is allowed 30 day visa exempt entry, would be to use one of the visa service runs advertised in classified section of newspaper several times to obtain 30 day entry and which cost about 2,000 baht a trip (all inclusive).
