Can a Tourist Visa be converted to a Non B Visa while in Thailand?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone!

I'm in Thailand as a tourist (under the Tourist Visa Exemption Scheme).

Currently I'm fulfilling all requirements to apply for a WP3 and Non B (Employment) Visa.

Is it possible to apply for the Non B visa in Thailand?
Or is it strictly necessary to leave the country and apply for it abroad?

Yes it is possible to apply for 90 day non immigrant visa (category B) entry at immigration if you can qualify for one.

General requirements are here. https://www.immigration.go.th/content/service_72

Thank you for the input and link Joe.

After checking that link, I noticed that applies for foreigner working as teacher (Change visa - FOR FULFILLING THE DUTY OR RESPONSIBILITY AS AN IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBER OF FOREIGNER WORKING AS TEACHER IN THAILAND).
However, I couldn't find a specific topic for foreigner working hired by a company.

I'm also wondering whether it would be less hassle to apply abroad for Non B instead of applying here in Thailand. Any thoughts?

The top line is an error on the website. Only pay attention to the title that states the following.
