May 21, 200719 yr I think in these terms we have to view Buddhism as our way of life not as our religion and know that the things done in this world are done out of pure ignorance. As I'm sure most of you know or will learn it is impossible to reason with other religions mostly because "we are wrong and they are right" there is no ration or reason for us "being wrong" an them "being right" again pure brainwashed ignorance............... This too will pass as all things do.
May 22, 200719 yr Yes, DrFisher, reminds me of a passage I recently came across in an essay by Brad Warner: 'Buddhism is about Reality. Religion is about thought. Reality is not the same as thought. Some words tickle a certain spot in some folks' brains, while other words get another spot all hot and bothered. And depending on where you like to be tickled, that's what you'll choose to believe in. Buddhism deals with an absolutely different area. Buddhism addresses the very fact of why we want to have our brains tickled all the time.' All Along The Watchtower
