A matter of national security: Sex toys and e-cigs rounded up in Bangkok

Members of the Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC) were out in force in the Nana area of Bangkok in a vital series of raids to protect the kingdom's security.

 

Taken in as a threat to national peace and order were:

 

Sex toys

Viagra and Kamagra

Electronic cigarettes and vaping fluid

 

The security services and local cops also got their hands on fake shirts.

 

In all 20,000 items worth 5 million baht were taken away after the raid between Sois 3 and 17.

It was the third sex toy and sex drugs raid in the area this year.

 

Seven people were arrested - four Thais and three miscreant migrants. 

 

One told the media that he was waiting for his court date from an arrest in a previous raid. 

 

But he still had stock to clear so he thought, why not? The police and local officials often passed without doing anything so why worry. 

 

The raid featured on a TNA MCOT TV show with the presenters reveling in the fact that sex toys and sex drugs were among the items.

I saw this report on TV two days ago and what ran through my mind was, what happens to the stuff and how long is it before it is sold back to the stall holders, at an appropriate premium of course?  Not too long I bet. I would have been more impressed if they had shown the subsequent bonfire of the goods.

Soon after, the sellers and their merchandise were back at the same spots. Same as before.

I suspect that now after the find, several of the ISOC boys will entertaining their gf/missus with a plethora of sex toys and puffing on a e-cigs... to the victors the spoils...

as for me, i don't see the connection between national peace and sex toys...vaping fluid, but again i'm not a thai citizen!

And people wonder why a lot of farangs in Thailand are cynical.  Laughing at the often ridiculous nature of things here is better than crying about it.  I guess some deal with it by becoming one of those "gone native" farangs, always moaning about Thai bashers.

Thai government just gets more mind numbingly stupid every day.  Believe sex toys are sold even in China now and most are made there anyway.   Security would be more like preventing deaths on the nation's highways.

Female spies are warned, part of training, that it's easy for the enemy to make them divulge state secrets if they are sex toyed and vaped at the same time.

Section 7 sub-section 3 in the training book, but keep that secret.

Ridiculous for how clean and pure Thailand is. Even the Government and Junta.

There are much bigger dicks running the country and they are more a security risk also
