Pursuit of welfare policies, stimulus by new govt could delay goal of balancing budget

THE GOAL of achieving a balanced budget is likely to be postponed should the new coalition government aggressively implement welfare policies and push economic stimulus packages, an official at the Finance Ministry said.

Thailand beat England in a nearest the pin play-off to win the GolfSixes Cascais and make European Tour history at Oitavos Dunes.

 

Phachara Khongwatmai and Thongchai Jaidee were tied at 1-1 after six holes in the final against Tom Lewis and Paul Waring, with another trip up the sixth unable to separate the teams.

Luxury condos change the face of SATHORN

Panther Arto Team Thailand’s Nattapong Hortongkum and Nattavude Charoensukhawatana are the two local hopes taking part in the GT300 category of the Japan-based competition. Out of eight circuits, the Buri Ram stop is the only one taking place outside Japan.

Nida and Suan Dusit polls give conflicting results on the government’s life span

A Dusit poll indicates that 73.65% those surveyed believe that a Palang Pracharat-led coalition government will last no more than a year, whereas 44.11% of respondents to a Nida Poll believe the government will survive its four-year term.
