Prepare for stormy weather across Thailand, warn weathermen

The Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) forecast on Sunday (June 9th) that skies over Bangkok and its suburbs will be cloudy, bringing heavy downpours or thunderstorms across 60% of the area.  Minimum temperature 25°C, maximum 36°C.

Continuous rain, with isolated heavy showers, will continue in Western parts of Central, Eastern and the South of Thailand. People in the South should be wary of possible flash floods, as the southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea and the South, according to the TMD.

The TMD also predicts that, from noon today (June 9th) to noon tomorrow, the weather will be very overcast with scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rain, and Southwesterly winds gusting at 10-30 km/hr.

Don't be unkind. The weathermen are only trying to do their job. They have just remembered that this is the rainy season, and want to warn the rest of the population in case they have also forgotten.

Must be talking about South Bangkok. Funny, I thought that area would be refered to as the Gulf of Thailand not the Andaman Sea. Still, they say you learn something new everyday.

And guess what this happens the same time every year.????????

News too late? And as usual, the opposite happened.

Maybe a bit too subtle for some. I mean when the article talks about BKK and in the 2nd paragraph the south and Khwaibah calls it BKK only and fake news which I qouted in my post I would've thought my post could only be seen as taking the piss.

It is their job! maybe be better if they were advising numbers for lottery tickets, with the data they have probably be more accurate!
