Hi all  Ive been trying to find Info regarding visa extension in the forum but not found so far, so resorting to being yet another asking same question over again. I presently have 30 day visa   wanting to extend to marriage visa, and have missed the 15day before end of present visa  that would enable me to gain married visa.  The 15 days  before the end of my visa is what I was told by immigration  earlier.  Am wondering if it's possible to go get another 30 days and then return  on 15day then apply for the marriage visa.   Asking this mainly because the immigration is bit of a cranky office and would like to be clear in my options prior to attending  . Cheers for any help.

Do you have a 30 day Visa Exempt entry?

You could leave the country and return on a Tourist Visa or another Visa Exempt Entry, then apply to convert to a Non-Imm-O entry.

This would be  required for a subsequent One Year extension.

Let me know if that works. I believe people can do it on a  TV Entry, a TV extension, or a VE Entry, this would be a conversion on a VE Extension

You can apply for a 30 day extension of your visa exempt entry and then apply for a non immigrant visa at immigration.

You could do both application during the same trip to immigration.

They do the 30 day extensions and then the visa all the time.
