Appears I've exhausted all other options (sorry for the number of threads).

In all my extensions I've never used the money in the bank route before?

  1. For Thai child I understand it only has to be in the bank 1 day for applying? And it's 400k?
  2. What do I have to get from the bank? What do I need to ask them? And can I ask a bank out of hours in a mall for example? (Had other issues here)
  3. My current TM30 is in Bangkok but I have my old TM30 from Chiang Mai at partners hours - do I need to redo the Chiang Mai TM30 before applying?
  4. If I need to redo the TM30 (this is my partners house) what does she need to show? Or can she just fill in the form saying I moved back from Bangkok?

Thanks

You can apply on the last day of your permit to stay if you want to.

1. The rules do not state the 400k baht has to be in the bank for any amount of time but some offices may want it to ge there for 2 months.

2. You need a letter from the confirming your account and the amount in it on the date it is written. You also need to have your bank book updated. What can be done at a branch depends upon the bank you have an account at.

3. A new TM30 will be needed.

4. No sure what is required in at CM immigration.

Sorry last question.

I have a Bangkok Bank account based in Bangkok in foreign currency.

Can I use a foreign currency account as long as the amount in equals 400k baht +? And can the bank account be from a branch in Bangkok even though I will extend in Chiang Mai?

A foreign currency account will be accepted.

There is no requirement for account to be for a branch where you are living.

To get the letter you will have to go to one of the main branches in CM that handle those accounts to get the letter. It needs to state the amount in the account on the date it written in baht using the exchange rate for that day.
