Who wants to stay at home all day waiting for the delivery guy to arrive?

Some of us have nice houses and gardens.

Not everyone is living in a bedsit.

A lot of luddite retirees in this thread who have an irrational fear of paying in advance.

I think you will find . as a whole, more on-line shopping complaints about undelivered products, incorrect products etc. , than you will about COD payments. Just sayin....

The refund is in the mail?........

This is one of the primary reasons SE-Asia, especially Thailand will remain an e-commerce backwater for years to come.

The combination of a cash-based economy, general dishonesty (of online sellers & buyers),

lack of strong consumer protection laws, Thai logic & poorly implemented/insecure online payment systems are the main reasons.

China didn't become an e-commerce powerhouse by offering COD on it's online marketplaces - cashless is the way to go.

However, there are significant roadblocks in the way of transitioning Thailand to a cashless society, most notably, monkey-brained Somchai.

I ordered a pair of shoes COD yesterday from Lazada and didn't have any problems.

Sounds risky. Shoes are one (two really) item that one has to try before handing out any money.
