I’m posting this in the hopes of getting help with an article about Graphic Design in Thailand, and wondered if you could take the time to answer a couple of questions. To tell you the truth, I'm having a devil of a time getting answers.

I recently spent two weeks in Thailand taking photos of different promotions. While I was there I gained a little bit of an insight into what I'll be writing about, but I still have more questions. BTW - I’m just down the road here in Brunei so I'm a regular visitor to Thailand, popping in anywhere from 2 - 4 times a year.

What I need: Any background information on the below promotions or subjects, the designer or design company [if possible], any goodies you may know about the company's, or any facts related to the promotions, or any information in general [for instance, the coke/pepsi promotions plastered all over the countryside].

The article will written with an upbeat, breezy slant. I'm a fan of Thailand and this will be reflected in the copy.

- Happy Dprompt

- Government anti drunk driving push

- Superbrands Thailand

- HSBC, Asia's 'most admired brand'

- Twin Lotus to change Thai's prejudice against dark colours - The Thai snacks who's name means 'flower' - what the colour red means to a Thai in marketing and design - The Amari hotel and resort logo

- the colgate toothpaste ad that looks similar to the new Happy Dprompt promotion

- how pepsi and coke have plastered themselves all over, until one gets into the countryside then it's M150 the energy drink - visuals: for safe drinking go for the round ice with holes. car broken down on the side of the road, tree branch for an alert. restaurants - coloured lights = entertainment with food on the side. white lights = resturant concentrates on food.

- typical Thai sinage: red, saffron, and blue

thanks in advance,

cat
