Buying beef in Bangkok

Are there any stores or butcher shops in Bangkok area that sell good quality raw beef cuts that anyone can recommend?
Location, or even better GPS, would be much appreciated.

Many thanks in advance. ????

Gourmet market in emquartier has everything from USDA Prime certified over black angus to Japanese wagyu.

The prices are accordingly high

El gaucho and Arnos also allow you to order raw meat drom their butcher

I'm not recommending Foodland Ratchada. The Big C in Ratchada has stepped up their game. The typical Aussie, Kiwi packaged steaks 220-360 type stuff. I see it elsewhere, seems cheaper there. Tops Rama 9 and Pohan Yotin.

But none of it comes close to US Prime.

Grass fed beef, meh.

Just can't bring myself to pay 4x what I'd spend in US on beef. It's often a crapshoot so I've yet to try the really spendy places.

Thank you everyone for your responses and recommendations. Please forgive the delay in me thanking you: I have just finished moving house - packing, moving the stuff, and then unpacking. I am exhausted and the place is still a junkyard.

All responses MUCH appreciated.

Kind regards

Zoe

I don't live in Bangkok nor anywhere in Asia, and have only had the pleasure of spending 1 day in Singapore, so I have no personal experience of what is available where in BKK or Thailand in general.

I am asking questions on this wonderful site on behalf of my 18yo daughter who is volunteering like a slave in BKK, and is exhausted and a bit ill, and needing, IMHO, some red meat.

Many thanks, once again, Forum Contributors for all of your inputs. I am SO thankful that this Thaivisa.com website exists and has so many members willing to help complete strangers.

Kind regards

Bangkok is very cosmopolitan, your daughter can go out and find a multitude of restaurants, many of which are 'western' and serve steaks...  of the Budget conscious a 'Wine connection' will do a half decent Australian Steak for about 500-750 baht (there are Wine connections in many of the busy area's of the city). Equally so, in the busy areas of the city there are plenty of supermarkets where steak can be purchased.

Update:  My daughter is feeling MUCH better after a couple of yummy steaks ordered from Gourmet Butcheries and delivered by Happy Fresh.

Many thanks for everyone's input! ????
