Need to replace the sliding doors on a condo renovation.

For those familiar the standard options are junk with crappy locks.

 

What are better options?

Do you mean aluminium/glass patio doors?

 

If so there are hundreds of places that do them but most are cheap and very poor quality. If you are prepared to pay more then better local quality is available from a few places, and if you are prepared to pay silly prices then there are several farang-run places that use imported frames from Germany and elsewhere.

 

If you want better quality you will surely need to replace the entire frame and all the panels as the dimensions will be different to the existing stuff. You also need to decide if you want single or double glazing.

 

uPVC is also an option, though I dont like it because the frames are thick and clunky.

 

So be more specific about what you want.
