Most reliable mail service from US to Thailand

Featured Replies

Hey all,

Does anyone have experience with mailing items from the US to Thailand?

I have a new bank card that I need to get mailed to Chiang Mai. Any thoughts on what the most reliable service would be?

Also, I've never had anything mailed to my house in Hang Dong, and the address seems so vague that I'm hesitant to use it. Any alternatives for a trusted place to have something mailed where I know it will get delivered?

Thanks for your help!

Dave

Nothing at all wrong with the standard US postal service.(tracked)

Many of us use local PO box @ 500 baht per year. Get one of those in your local Post Office if available. Then you are not reliant on Postmen. Go get it yourself from the office.

Tip, get whoever sends it for you to wrap the card in aluminium foil, it stops it being read or checked by RFID

Also ensure its inside a pile of other papers so not easily distinguishable.

Never had any problems using the Pony express since 1860...

I use US Global Mail to receive my mail in the USA. Then CC and ATM cards are forwarded by USP and Delivered by Kerry Express here in Hua Hin. Like you, I could not get my mail delivered to my house but that is slowly changing over the last five years.

Make sure you give UPS your Thai phone number so Kerry Express can call you.

This is a expensive process but CC, ATM cards and SS letters are important.

Thanks, all!

Gonna look into getting a PO Box and proceed from there.
