BRUSSELS (Reuters) - Germany's Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Sunday that negotiations among European Unionleaders to choose a new president of the EU Commission will be complicated.

Arriving at an EU extraordinary summit meant to find a replacement for Jean-Claude Juncker when his term ends on Oct. 31, Merkel said that talks: "will not be very easy." EU leaders failed to reach a deal on Juncker's successor at a previous summit on June 21.

That would be fairly easy.

Other possible candidates (Merkel says she's not interested?):

Margrethe Vestager

Manfred Weber

Frans Timmermans

Ska Keller

Mark Rutte

Dalia Grybauskaite

Michel Barnier

Dalia might be a good compromise candidate.

Of course it won't - Macron has torpedoed the German puppet Weber and is busy trying to get his own puppet Barnier installed (promised reward for Brexit screwing?).

If Germany and France aren't in agreement, the others become irrelevant. When Germany and France agree the others become........... er, irrelevant.

Yeah for EU democracy!
