15 Nescafe Hubs to roll out over next 12 months

generally agree re the 3 n 1 mix instant coffee that is only ok if 14 baht at 7 eleven but should not they own nespresso, and nespresso does indeed have gourmet coffee in those capsules. i have owned one in the past.
Ah an expert, capsule coffee. The most profitable rip off since the prices for those capsules are inflated beyond belief.
If you calculate your personal yearly consumption you can buy an Italian style espresso machine including high grade coffee beans. Not to mention the environmental pollution from the aluminium capsules.

i used the smallest nespresso machine while on a work assignment at a small island near saipan. capsules boaught in usa not priced too badly. at home have a la spaziale s1 and a doserless burr grinder.       those capsule for nespresso can be refilled a few times plus there are refillable capsules now

theoreticall if nescafe hub uses euro blended/roasted beans that are used to fill nespresso capsules they could make some rather decent espresso / capuchino

in sri lanka there are nescafe tea vending machines all over that use local tea and it is quite nice.

Jeez' I despair sometimes ..

Hub, definition 1: The central part of a wheel, rotating on or with the axle, and from which the spokes radiate.

Hub definition 2: The effective centre of an activity, region, or network. (Your internet wouldn't work without one)

Ah, so Nescafe are the centre of a coffee selling activity. Now we know.

I suppose if the coffee filter became clogged the hub would go down, causing the end of life as we know it Jim.

Indeed no issue with the first definition as that is or was its only use .. to describe a central rotating component upon which spokes or studs are attached was its only use when I was at school .. It has now been hijacked and prostituted out to all and sundry who lack imagination enough to arrive at a more suitable description which is exactly what Nescafe are doing with a glorified hotdog trailer .. Nescafe Hub my a*se ..

Personally, I'll go along with at least 3 reputable dictionaries, all of which provide the choice of definitions I quoted.

Language evolves. Those who lack imagination are those who won't accept that.

Ahh yes, Nescafe.

The company with commercials featuring people slowly nodding and smiling with satisfaction after sipping their coffee.

I find some of their commercials quite amusing...
