We, husband & wife (resident in Bangkok) are on retirement extension.

We are planning to visit Malaysia for a one week by train.

And returning back by train to Hatyai. We will spend two days in Hatyai.

Then after two days stay, we will return back to Bangkok by train.

The problem is this. We won't be able to do a TM 30 report in Cheang Wattana

within the 24 hours requirement at Cheang Wattana, Bangkok.

Because, our passports arrival to Thailand will be stamped in at the

Malaysian/Thai land border crossing at Danok immigration.

The problem is this. By the time we reach Bangkok, it will be over three or

four days to do the TM.30 reporting at Cheang Wattana, Bangkok.

Will we have to pay the fine for not reporting within the 24 hours requirements ?

Our passports was stamped in at Malaysia-Thai land border crossing. Then staying

in Hatyai for a few days. Our home address is in Bangkok.

Your kind advice is much appreciated. Thanking you all in advance.

The TM30 report is due 24 hours after you arrive at your residence not from when you enter the country.

Have you done a TM30 report before for your residence to CW. If you have done one then they may not want another one.

They have told people on long stay extensions it is not required to a do another report unless they change addresses.
