PATTAYA:--Najomtien police donated cash to a toddler suffering from “elephant leg”.

Pol. Maj. Sanwan Pansritaoan and Moo 1 village chief Supoj Inyam presented the mother of Thanakrit Kiejew 7,000 baht for treatment of his lymphedema, or swelling of his right leg.

Laddawan Unsiri, 30, said year-old “Nong Anfield” has had the condition since birth, reaching elephantine proportions at five months. He must receive constant medical care at Siriraj Hospital.

Surgery is planned, but she didn’t have the money to pay for it. The police donation will help, but more is needed.
