July 10, 20196 yr Why do I have to do my single entry visa online when i have to take everything to the thai embassy. I don't feel comfortable giving all my personal details online. Has anybody done this new evisa. Edited July 10, 20196 yr by The Maltese Falcon not finished
July 10, 20196 yr You don’t need to take everything to the embassy. You can apply online and send your passports and documents by post.
July 10, 20196 yr Author i like to give my personal details in person not online and not by post is there a way i can do that?
July 10, 20196 yr No. You must now apply online at the Embassy. You can still apply in person at the Consulates like Hull. http://www.thaiconsul-uk.com/tourist-visa-single-tr.php Edited July 10, 20196 yr by elviajero
July 13, 20196 yr Having a fair few problems with this new evisa application form. First problem I encountered was that it gave you the option to apply for a multiple entry non imm O when you can't get one. The form would not reset itself either. Then eventually when it did, it would not let me upload my passport page and photo. Too large. So I've sorted that out. Trouble is, every time you re-start filling out the form it is counting the number of times you are trying. 10 strikes and you are out. This is the stage where I'm at. So I'll have to wait until after 2pm on Monday to phone the embassy to see what I can do. No use using the help e-mail box, this goes to Bangkok and no-one wants to answer you ( probably because they can't understand the question ). So annoying.......Does anyone know what I can do ?

They also ask you for your exit details after 90 days and it does not show any option to go to the local imm office in Thailand for an extension

Trust consulates only on the requirements for services they provide themselves. For information, extensions of stay in Thailand are independent of where you acquired the visa you used to enter Thailand.
July 13, 20196 yr Correct BritTim. I am also led to believe the consulates are in fact independent businesses too. What really gets my goat though is at the moment, someone like me who is married to a Thai national can only visit them and the family for 90 days per year. As a tourist knowing no-one in Thailand I can get a 6 month visa which, if you read the consulate website it explains in very good detail, how to extend to 9 months. Crazy or what ?
