Non Imm O multi visa (Thai wife) Ho Chi Minh

Featured Replies

I read on the forum somewhere that they will issue a one year multi non imm O visa based on marriage to Thai wife without need to show any financials.

Does anyone know if this is still the case? I need to get a new visa this September and was thinking of going to HCM for it.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks very much

Yeah, same rules a Savannakhet, but in addition they want a note from your wife asking them to give you the VISA.

Thanks. Been there once about 10 years ago.

If you go there and are frugal like me, put BusMap on your smartphone and enjoy the cheap prices of the bus network all over the city. Bus from the airport to district one cost 20,000VND (or $1 US).

So true BritMan.

OP when you exit look to right. Yellow bus 109 goes to district 1. Even has WiFi on bus. Ha

Google Thai Embassy HCMC and they post the post the requirements which they do follow.

Letter from your wife has to hand written and signed.

Some of the copies of documents have to be 'certified copies'

Edit.

Just checked and they state

Certified copy of spouse ID and house registration.

Your wife certifies the copies by signing them.

Hi all would you still need the letter from wife if she was with you when applying for the visa

Does anyone have a copy of the visa form that needs to be filled out?

Tried to download from website but not possible??

Thanks.

And of course they have no way of knowing who actually writes the letter, but when I foolishly pointed that out to the consulate in Melbourne some years ago when such a letter was demanded there, he threatened to send me to Canberra to apply there instead. And then he gave me the Sydney office fax number to send the letter to by mistake. Idiots.

Is it possible to do the non O ME at thai consulate in Hannoi?

Yes it is possible.
