webfact
Appeal to tourists! Please tell us if you see jet skis flouting ban in Krabi Thai caption: Where did they come from? Tourists in southern Thailand have been asked to contact the authorities if they see people on jet skis or sea scooters flouting a ban. The appeal followed footage of a number of jet skis in the area of Khao Karos that is reserved for kayakers and the like. Khao Khram phu yai ban (local chief) Sucha Wansuk said that recently a company in Phuket had been bringing in tourists for 7,000 - 8,000 baht a head on jet ski tours. They had already been fined but someone was at it again. He asked for tourists or fishermen who see violators to contact the Than Bok Khorani national park or tour guides to help them rid the area of jet skis and scooters. Popular Post wotsdermatter
Why appeal to tourists? They are on vacation. Surely, the directive should be aimed at Thais to perform such a deed because, after all, they live in the country all year whereas tourists are here and gone after a short stay. Or is it that Sucha Wansuk realised that Thais will not make a report as it is too much work to do so? 'nuf sed. 3

Why not ban them all (rhetoirical question)?

Jo3200
Ok, then don't help reporting them. Stay online on TV moaning about rules not being followed etc. People on TV always know so many solutions to everything. Now they ask for help and everyone is like 'not my job'.
